Triceps Pushdown exercise
The triceps pushdown is a cable machine exercise that targets the triceps, helping to build strength and definition in the back of the arms. It’s a controlled isolation movement ideal for both strength and hypertrophy training.

How to perform Triceps Pushdown
- Attach a straight bar or rope to the high pulley of a cable machine.
- Stand facing the machine with your feet shoulder-width apart and grip the attachment with an overhand grip.
- Keep your elbows close to your torso and your upper arms stationary.
- Push the bar or rope down by extending your elbows until your arms are fully straightened.
- Squeeze your triceps at the bottom of the movement.
- Slowly return the bar to the starting position with control, keeping tension on your triceps.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining proper form throughout.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
