How to perform Dumbbell Step-Up

  1. Stand in front of a bench or sturdy box holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides.
  2. Place one foot firmly on the bench with your entire foot supported.
  3. Push through your front heel to lift your body onto the bench, bringing your trailing leg up.
  4. Pause at the top, then slowly lower your trailing leg back to the floor with control.
  5. Repeat all reps on one leg, then switch to the other.
  6. Keep your torso upright and avoid using momentum.

Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
