Medicine Ball Slams exercise

Medicine ball slams are a dynamic core exercise that build explosive power while strengthening the abs, shoulders, and back. This movement involves forcefully throwing a weighted ball into the ground, engaging the entire body—especially the core—to generate power. It’s excellent for developing coordination, endurance, and athletic performance.

How to perform Medicine Ball Slams

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a medicine ball with both hands at chest level.
  2. Engage your core and lift the ball overhead, fully extending your arms.
  3. Using your abs and hips, explosively slam the ball down to the floor as hard as possible.
  4. Bend your knees and follow through the motion, keeping your back straight.
  5. Catch the ball on the rebound or pick it up if it doesn’t bounce.
  6. Reset and repeat for the desired number of repetitions with controlled power.

Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
