Power Walking (Track or Trail) exercise
A low-impact cardiovascular activity that’s faster than regular walking but less intense than jogging. It improves heart health, endurance, and fat burning while allowing easy measurement of time and distance using GPS or a marked course.

How to perform Power Walking (Track or Trail)
- Choose a flat track, trail, or sidewalk route where distance can be measured accurately.
- Wear comfortable, supportive shoes and stand upright with a slight forward lean.
- Swing your arms briskly and walk at a fast, steady pace while keeping one foot in contact with the ground at all times.
- Focus on lengthening your stride and maintaining strong, rhythmic breathing.
- Use a fitness tracker, phone app, or lap counter to monitor distance and time.
- Cool down by gradually slowing your pace near the end of your walk.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
