Skull Crushers exercise
Skull crushers, also known as lying tricep extensions, are an effective isolation exercise for building triceps strength and size. Performed lying down, this movement emphasizes the long head of the triceps.

How to perform Skull Crushers
- Lie flat on a bench with a barbell, EZ curl bar, or dumbbells in your hands.
- Extend your arms straight up over your chest with palms facing forward.
- Slowly lower the weight toward your forehead by bending at the elbows.
- Keep your upper arms stationary and elbows pointed forward throughout the movement.
- Stop when the weight is just above your forehead or slightly behind it.
- Press the weight back up to the starting position by extending your elbows.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps, maintaining control throughout.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
