Barbell Curl exercise
A staple biceps-building exercise that targets the brachii and forearms. The barbell curl allows for progressive overload and is a go-to for developing arm size and strength.

How to perform Barbell Curl
- Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart and hold a barbell with an underhand grip, hands just outside your hips.
- Keep your elbows tucked close to your torso and your back straight.
- Curl the barbell upward by contracting your biceps, keeping your upper arms stationary.
- Pause at the top and squeeze your biceps, then slowly lower the barbell to the starting position.
- Avoid using momentum or swinging your body during the lift.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
