Dumbbell Bicep Curl exercise
The dumbbell bicep curl is a classic isolation exercise that directly targets the biceps brachii. It builds arm strength and size while helping improve elbow flexion and grip control.

How to perform Dumbbell Bicep Curl
- Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand, arms fully extended, palms facing forward.
- Keep your elbows close to your torso and avoid swinging.
- Curl the dumbbells up by contracting your biceps until they reach shoulder level.
- Pause briefly at the top and squeeze your biceps.
- Slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
