Deadlift exercise

The deadlift is a total-body compound movement that primarily targets the glutes, hamstrings, and lower back. It’s one of the most effective exercises for building overall strength and muscular development.

How to perform Deadlift

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and the barbell over your mid-foot.
  2. Bend at the hips and knees to grip the bar just outside your legs.
  3. Keep your back straight, chest up, and core braced.
  4. Drive through your heels to lift the bar by extending your hips and knees.
  5. Stand tall at the top, then slowly reverse the motion to lower the bar.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of reps, maintaining good posture.

Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
