Stretching
Hamstring Stretch exercise
The hamstring stretch targets the muscles along the back of the thighs, helping to improve flexibility, reduce tightness, and support proper posture. It’s ideal for recovery, mobility, and maintaining lower body balance.

How to perform Hamstring Stretch
- Sit on the floor with one leg extended straight in front of you and the other leg bent, with the sole of the foot resting against the inner thigh.
- Keep your back straight and hinge forward from your hips toward the extended leg.
- Reach toward your foot with both hands, keeping your chest lifted and spine long.
- Hold the stretch gently for 20–30 seconds without bouncing.
- Return to the upright position and switch sides.
- Breathe deeply throughout and focus on relaxing into the stretch.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
