Leg Raises exercise
Leg raises are an effective core exercise that primarily targets the lower abdominal muscles. By lifting and lowering the legs while keeping the torso stable, this movement strengthens the hip flexors, improves core control, and enhances lower-body mobility. It’s a versatile bodyweight exercise that can be performed anywhere, making it ideal for home or gym routines.

How to perform Leg Raises
- Lie flat on your back with your legs extended and your arms at your sides or under your glutes for support.
- Engage your core and press your lower back into the floor.
- Keeping your legs straight, lift them toward the ceiling until they are perpendicular to the floor.
- Pause briefly at the top, keeping your abs tight and legs extended.
- Lower your legs slowly and with control back to the starting position, just above the floor.
- Avoid letting your lower back arch off the floor during the movement.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps, maintaining steady breathing and form.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
