Calf Raise (Standing) exercise
The standing calf raise is a simple yet effective exercise that targets the calf muscles, specifically the gastrocnemius. It's great for building strength, size, and endurance in the lower legs.

How to perform Calf Raise (Standing)
- Stand upright on a flat surface or on a raised platform with your toes on the edge and heels hanging off.
- Keep your feet shoulder-width apart and your core engaged.
- Push through the balls of your feet to lift your heels as high as possible.
- Pause at the top and contract your calves.
- Slowly lower your heels back down to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps, maintaining control throughout the movement.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
