Leg Curl (Seated or Lying) exercise
The leg curl is an isolation exercise that targets the hamstrings. It is typically performed using a leg curl machine in either a lying or seated position, helping to strengthen the back of the thighs and improve overall lower body balance.

How to perform Leg Curl (Seated or Lying)
- Adjust the leg curl machine to fit your height and lie face down (or sit) with your legs under the padded lever.
- Position the pad just above your heels and below your calves.
- Grip the handles or sides of the machine for support.
- Flex your knees to curl your legs upward as far as possible without lifting your thighs off the pad.
- Squeeze your hamstrings at the top of the movement.
- Slowly lower the weight back to the starting position with control.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps while maintaining proper form.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
