Machine Chest Press exercise
The machine chest press is a beginner-friendly compound movement that isolates the pectoral muscles, triceps, and shoulders. It provides a controlled range of motion and is safer for those learning pressing mechanics.

How to perform Machine Chest Press
- Adjust the seat height so that the handles are at chest level.
- Sit back against the pad with your feet flat on the floor.
- Grab the handles with an overhand grip, elbows bent at about 90 degrees.
- Press the handles forward until your arms are fully extended without locking out your elbows.
- Pause briefly at the top, squeezing your chest muscles.
- Slowly return the handles back to the starting position under control.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps.
Use controlled movement and an appropriate variation for your current ability. Stop if an exercise causes sharp pain, and seek qualified guidance when needed.
